Interview: “Rich Kids” director Laura Somers by Daisy Carter

After a few months off, In Other News is back. The studio we broadcast out of is still in repairs from the earthquake of ’18, so this is another pre-recorded show, but that doesn’t stop hosts Kendrick Whiteman, Cornilius Nelson, and Zane Penny from bringing their all.

This show features an exclusive interview with the director of the feature film Rich Kids. The movie follows the story of a handful of low-income Latino youth who break into the house of a rich white family in their neighborhood, to see what it’s like to live in their shoes for a day. It screened at the 2018 Anchorage International Film Festival. ATMI producer Daisy Carter interviewed the film’s director Laura Somers.
