After School Special

a youth film screening as part of the

Anchorage International Film Festival

Entries Are Now Open!

Filmmakers must be 21 years old or younger.

Films can be no longer than 10 minutes long and must have been made in 2025.

All genres accepted, but please be tasteful with your content. Films containing more adult-themed content may be labeled with a disclaimer. Films that include content that ATMI staff deem unsuitable for youth audiences may be disqualified.

Submissions close November 7th at 11:59pm AKST

Then join us for the in-person screening of the selected films as part of the 25th Anchorage International Film Festival. The festival takes place December 5th through the 14th. The exact day and time of After School Special is TBD.

Following the screening there will be a live Q&A with participating filmmakers. There will also be awards: Judge’s Choice, Audience Choice, and the ATMI Golden Yeti.
